'Behind the Blendz' is an ongoing feature giving you a glimpse at what it means to be in product development here at Blenders. The materials, the process, the people--we'll be covering it all in the coming months.
Hi, friends!
Welcome to part 2 of our 'Explore Actives' series! If you missed Part 1, you can find it at the link here. For all of my adventurers out there who enjoy a nice active-style frame, I highly recommend you take a peep!
Today, we're going to talk about the two collections we left out in part 1 of this series—both of which are slightly more progressive than your average active pair. These shield-style frames are known as Full Speed & Eclipse.
Scroll for deets!
- Half-rim frame with rubberized ventilated nose pads
- Rubberized ear rests with wire core for custom adjustability
- Standard screw hinge
- Polarised TAC shield lens with anti-salt coating
- 100% UVA & UVB protection
- Medium-to-large fit
This style, along with our Eclipse (below), is one of the first active/progressive frames we've experimented with. We thought about all of our Blend Heads out there who are runners and/or cyclists and we wanted to offer you a frame that was best fit for your activity. I wear ‘Fearless Anna’ when my boyfriend and I go on bike rides—they are perfect and get the job done. The base curve of this lens really allows for full visibility when you need it the most. I recommend these for anyone with a round, oval, or heart-shaped face.

This frame is much more progressive than any of our active frames (including those in Part 1 of this post). Along with Full Speed, this lens also has a 6 base curve which means it'll protect your eyes just as well and offer a larger field of vision. Similar to ‘Full Speed,’ these are really great for any activity—including going to concerts for all of our festival goers out there. This frame is great for round, oval, and heart-shaped faces.
That's a wrap for our active styles at the moment. We will be coming out with more soon so be sure to stay tuned!
Next blog series, we will cover some more progressive styles, including one of my faves. ;)
Stay Groovy ✌️
