1. 2018 San Diego Beer Week

2. Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Brunch

Feel a lil guilty after all that Beer Week boozin? All good. You’re invited to a perform a complete 180 in behavior at the Silver Strand Half Marathon, 10 Miler & Veterans Day 5K, a gorgeous event with the glory of the bay on its left and the crashing waves of the Pacific to its right. Runners AND walkers are welcome for the half marathon, while the 10-mile course is also open to skaters, handcycles, and wheelchairs. Your registration includes a continental breakfast and—surprise!—a post-race beach bash and beer garden. Dope.
4. San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival

Beer not-so-much your thing but still determined to drown yourself in some spirits this November? Fantastic—the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival has got you. It’s a week-long wine-tasting seminar that’s paired with the fare of James Beard Award-winning chefs. The entire affair culminates with a Saturday Grand Tasting Event on the San Diego Bay. A solid opportunity to impress someone special!
5. p1440 Top Guns & Young Guns Beach Volleyball Invitational

It should be noted that this Kerri Walsh Jennings-led professional beach volleyball event was originally scheduled in San Diego on the same date. If you had your heart set on attending and were bummed about the cancellation, you can take solace in knowing that Huntington Beach is now hosting (provided you don’t mind making the trip).
This is more than a volleyball event featuring some of the world’s best—it’s a full-blown festival boasting live music performances, a wellness village, volleyball training from pros, high-intensity workouts, yoga and meditation sessions, free samples, cooking demos, rock climbing, inflatable slides, art installations, food trucks, and, yup, a wine and beer garden. Oh, and the custom beach volleyball courts? They will be created thanks to 1,800 tons of shipped-in sand. Very cool.
